Like the Pacer Gold, the Pro Gold has a high rim weight, a brass rim and extermely durable polycarbonate plates. Designed by Scott Cappos, a former Big Ten Coach and Big Ten Champion athlete and Joe Frontier, a high school coach in Wisconsin that has assisted state record holders and national champions.

Coach Cappos stated, "My discus throwers loved the Pacer Gold, my athletes won several Big Ten Championships using it".

Now there is a similar discus available designed under the direction of top throwing coaches.
