Top Pad Construction

• Edge-to-edge top pad: Covers the full surface so spikes never hit the base units and there is no uneven lip at the edges. Longer pit life and safer landings near the sides.
• Tufmesh Plus casing: 17 x 11, 1000 denier mesh that stands up to daily spike traffic.
• 2" Duralife foam: Soft, durable landing surface.
• V-Loop vinyl straps: Spread the landing force evenly so seams are not torn apart over time.
• Reversible: Flip the top pad to extend its life.
• Side carabiner connection: The top pad clips to the base on the sides, so there are no buckles or straps on the landing surface.

Vinyl Base Units

• All vinyl base: Keeps water out of the foam far better than old mesh top bases.
• Interchangeable, reversible sections: Rotate units to spread wear and add years to the pit.
• Quadruple layer Duralife foam: 25% softer than competing pits while keeping the firmness a safe landing needs.
• Dual coated vinyl: 1000 x 1000 denier polyester bonded on both sides with 18 oz knife-coated PVC. Resists delamination and weighs less than other casings.
• Triple stitched: 210 bonded polyester thread built for high volume practice.
• Optimal pit entry angle: Designed around an ASTM approved vault box collar so the front slant stays vaulter friendly.
• Grip Strip fastening: Keeps the base sections working as one unit season after season.
• Compress-Pack shipping: Ships compressed to cut freight volume and cost, then restores to full size after unpacking.

Q: Is the S4 legal for high school competition?
A: Yes. It meets NFHS specifications.

Q: S4 or G1?
A: The S4 is 28" tall and meets NFHS. The G series is 32" tall and meets NCAA as well. If you host college meets or have vaulters heading to the next level, look at the G1 or G4.

Q: Can I pick my school colors?
A: Yes. Choose your vinyl casing and top pad colors from over 100 combinations. Add them in the order notes or we will confirm with you before production.

Q: What is the warranty?
A: Gill backs the landing system with a 12 year warranty. If a part fails under normal use and care in the first 12 years, Gill repairs or replaces it.

Q: How does it ship?
A: It is made to order and ships freight, compressed for lower shipping cost. Contact us for lead time and a freight quote to your facility.
